queensland River bassing

Hit the pine river this morning and managed quite a few bass and a small yella and was home by 7.15am for brekky. First few fish were on shrimp and then got stuck into them on sx40. To enable me to cast to the far bank I added a small splitshot as can be seen in the last pic. Missed a few good sized fish as well, they just took off and I couldnt stop them. Lucky that was while I was on shrimp. Tried a couple of other lures with no luck. Around 24 bass and the one yella. Biggest bass 45cm.

Nice catch Dino. I can't believe you got so many, i will need to learn some tricks from you some day soon, i have never got that many in such a short session.

There are a few fish in there at the moment and they are moving about, apart from shrimp which they all like its just a case of trying lures till you get the ones that are working on the day, dont get locked into one lure especialy if its not working.

I am definitely guilty of sticking to the one lure of late, after a few 45cm + fish on the same colour and style. I'll make sure next time i get out not to pack the ones i usually use and force myself to try something different. Thanks for the advice.
