What road is the access to kook park on? I havent been there for ages now, and cant remember how to get there. Also, is the boat ramp still usable? planning on getting out there for some muddies!

I went for a drive out there the other day, it looks crabby accross from the ramp. I've been thinking of getting out there on the yak. What are the ski lice like out there?

I've cast netted juvenile tailor at the junction, so not impossible at kooka either.

Never crabbed that far up before, but have had success at Moggil. I know they are there (apart from reports of other catches) as last time i was fishing there i ended up useing a wire trace just to stop the buggers from ruining the line as they went for the bait!

i have caught mud crabs at the junction ,i have seen people crab at kooka park .

there was this young fella there one time ,he was keen .land based and swimming the pots out to drop them .

Mate a mate of mine went down their at low tide and said he couldent get the boat in. I dont know if there is any problem there now but just to let you know about that

The ramp is fine mate, not closed or anything, but yeah is a bugger when the tide drops to it's lowest.

I went crabbing out there 12 months ago - put 4 pots down and brought up 20kg of turtles in each (using chook frames) :woohoo: never went back for seconds but would love to know how you go. Yeah I concur with what Dan says - don't launch or retrieve on low tide.....
