Hit the lily pond again this morning to get a few bass nice and early before the sun was to high in the sky. First hookup was on a beetlespin and was a whopping 21cm:woohoo: Next couple were a little larger on the same lure, I then caught a few on shrimp and done a bit of tagging. Finaly finished up with the last couple on lure again. Lost a couple to the lilies they must have been big brutes:laugh: Biggest for the morning was 35cm, I managed a few of these,

Fish while you can

While the wind and the rains have been on and the fact the bass are getting used to the lures the beetlespins have done OK. I use 1/4 oz jig head which gives you plenty of distance, so to does blades. You also have your lure in the water for a longer length of time which naturaly means you are covering more water with each cast. When the weather settles down the hardbodies might start to fire again.
