Anyone got one and where are you using it? Using it for bay fishing and inshore reef fishing?

Use it for rock fishing?

What kinda line (poundage etc.) are you running on it?

Any feedback appreicated.

One of my favourite all time reels - cheap, reliable and robust. I've got a couple of 3500Bs, a 6500B and a 8000D that are my baitfishing reels. I use them for anything bait related from landbased in the river, to livebaiting, bait jigging and floatlining in the bay. I run 20lb - 35lb PowerPro through them.

I bought one of the 8000D models a couple of months as a live bait reel ago and have hardly used it since cos of the weather:angry: Running 25lb Sunline Super PE on it. Yet to give it a real test on anything bigger than a 35cm snapper. Taking it up the cape next year to give it a good test. Enjoy!

I have one and have it spooled with 50lb braid and blooded it in the Torries Straits. I had big spaniads and trevelly peeling line off it all day and it took the punishment all day long

i have a 4500 on a raider2, awesome for nearly any fishing mate, used it on reefs up nth, has fast enough retrieve to throw slugs for mackeral, and i've used it lureing and live baiting jacks and cod. great all rounder, and bullet proof to boot!

i run 20lb finns at the moment, but am gona upgrade to 30lb this summer.
