Show Us Your Brisbane River Captures

Hey gents.

This has probably been done before but...

I had a huge chat with this guy at work who is still one of "those" people who seriously believes there are no fish except cat fish in the Brisbane River. He concedes the odd flathead or bream may get caught in the lower reaches but thats as good as it gets.

I wanted to start this thread to show his a one stop shop of awesome to make him eat his own hat so to speak :)

Cheers.

Happy to kick this off...

Little bully.

i used to be one of those people too .

but a few years ago (just before i found and joined AFO) , a mate took me to fish the brisbane rive near the gateway bridge .

bream ,squire ,shovel nose where the species caught that night , in a few hrs land based the 4 of us all caught 5 or 6 fish each .

we came home with 2 shovel nose ,5 bream and 4 squire for a feed .

i was converted after that night .

here is a few of the Brisbane river fish i /we have caught .

nice catches there angus! Just show ur mate dan's threads and he'd be awestruck. Don't have any pics but have caught threadfin, snapper, flathead, bream and cod in the lower reaches.

Yeah mate I was thinking Dan could pretty much dominate this :P

But I am sure there will be plrnty of others and maybe even pull a few out of the wood work!
