Deep Channel any good for sharks

Hi all, i am heading up to hervey bay tomorrow, so please can some tell me if this deep channel in the pic at the mouth of the burrum river is any good for sharks, or is the beach better, and are the any other fish in the river

Drop offs are good for fish, and fish are good for the bigger fish (sharks)
