landbased areas around redcliffe?

how you goin guys, im just a local young lad from redcliffe and i am getting into sharking a fair bit lately. i have done hours and hours on end at the woody pt jetty for only two little sharks. i was wondering if anyone on here could give me any advice on places to fish, how to fish them etc.

i am only running a tld20 at the moment with a full spool of 50lb braid, i may be upgrading to a tiagra 30 or a tld two speed in the near future.

any advice would be greatly appricated,

Must admit i don't know a lot about shark fishing, but generally sharks and canals go together so maybe around the canals at newport you might have some success. Good Luck mate.

I was fishing at the mouth of Newport Canal on Thursday,and a guy there fished for 1 hour and caught 3 small sharks.

yer i stayed on a mates boat at the marina in newport the other night, had about 20 runs on mullet in about 2 hours, had one big hook up so much weight behing it and it bit through my 150lb wire within the first 30 seconds. Had no other rigs left so was fishing single hook and managed to get an eel that would have gone 4 1/2-5 ft!

yuo could try the new ted mount fishing platform, never fished it myself, but fishguts said that it is very good, so you could alway send him a PM
