queensland 1st feed of sandies for 2011

took my 13ft tinny for a spin yesterday to drop a few pots in the southernbay.headed out to my usual spot and there where pots everywhere so went for a run back to in between coochie and macleay.droped 4 pots in for the nite went back this morning and got 15 good sandies..was a bit iffy with the fresh around but seems to be good numbers down that way...i used whole mullet i bought from a tackle shop down viccy point..must of been atleast 6 months old as when i cut it in half there was no blood in it at all.rebaited the pots with good mullet frames so will see how i go tommorrow

had a few crab sandwiches for lunch washed down by a few xtra dry beers...what a way to spend the day

i threw in a pot not expecting any thing just near the wello pnt ramp. went out fishing and come back a few hours later. got 2 crabs and a wobbiegong in the pot lol.. ill have to take more pots out next time

hope so tugger but depends if i beat the sharefarmers,just got a hot tip on where the muddies are at the moment so prob give them a go in a day or so

yeah they seem to be thick down the southern bay as well as the northern bay this year...we got bugger all really out from manly where i normally crab

we got a heap of muddies in tinny creek. some big suckers as i went out to harrys reef for a while got some squire, and got raided by the cops they were out there checkin over every 1's boat ect maybe because of the snapper ban? if thats on now? i got no idea
