queensland Wet hinterland bassing

With all the dirty water around I decided to head down to my sons place in the hinterland for a bit of bassin. Took my middle son with me and we had some red hot sessions and some not so red hot sessions when the creek was dirty. First arvo it was hot and balmy and we got heaps, next morning was OK as well, then we had a few heavy showers which sent the creek chocklate coloured. I remembered from way back that the s/baits work OKin the dirty water and I wasnt dissappointed with the results.

Lucky the creeks in that area rise and fall quickly and it doesnt take long after each shower for the creek to clear up, so we were back into the bass in no time. Here is a coupl of pics

Creek bass are great fun and magic places to fish.

The river and creeks upstream from NPD should be carrying good number of bass.

Thanks to all this rain, good numbers would have made the move up from the dam.

Thanks everyone I first started fishing in creeks like this on nana's farm back of m/bah. If you watch out for the snakes, ticks, spiders and stinging nettle, then you can have a good time. I was acousted by a snake, had spiders on me and was stung by nettle heaps of times, thank goodness the ticks left me alone.
