Tally Creek 18th January.

After spending a few days in the mud I was dying for a fish.

Tanya's friend Ellen (who many of you would have met at Winter Camps) unit was pretty messed up in St Lucia but after a few days work things are getting back to normal (sort of).

Anyway Ellen and Tanya's idea was to head down to Tally Creek at Burleigh so they could chill out on the beach with some mags and I could have a flick. Who was I to complain.

Nothing amazing to report. Managed to land 2 Butter Bream, 1 Moses Perch and 1 Flathead on plastics. All pretty small but jeez it was a great day in comparisson to the last week. Photo's coming later as they are on Ellens camera. Wouldnt you know although our unit avoided flood waters depsite being in Yeronga, I managed to destroy both my camera and phone over the course of "flood week". Good karma coming my way?

The real benefit of the day was seeing how pristine this waterway was despite all the rain and murky water heading out the seaway.

There has been a lot speculation on when we can start fishing the river again and if we can fish the bay etc.

Personally I think I will be hitting these southern and northern systems for a good while and just see what happens.

Cheers.

Angus
