Help: Set Up of Rod And Reel

Hey I recently just bought a abu garcia cardinal C1o3i. Was about to set up the rod with a t-curve 2-4 for a low price for 60 but it was damage and not worth the money to fix but now have changed to a catana 3-5kg.

So is this a ok set up just for bream fishing?

yer it is fine but for a more finesse approach usuallay a 1 to 3 kg or 2 to 4 kg rod

the lower the kg of the line rating mainly means the tip will be softer. so the fish will feel less tension on the light from the rod and better hook ups .

Catana. case i was currently using a cheap jarvis walker golden royale 3-5kg and it was fine for tailor

okay so the lighter rod you go it is more sutied to a lighter line class and smaller fish or more finesse fishing instead of winching them out if u are using it more as a general purpose combo 3 to 5 kg will handle most stuff within reason eg flathead bream whiting small tailor trevally

well i use a 2 to 4kg rod for tailor spooled with 5lb braid and a 30g halco tristy,

i have got tailor to 41cm on that, i also use the same rod for bream, squire, flathead, moses perch, whiting, and even school jew

3-5 kg would be fine for tailor flathead and all estuary fish
