In Hobart in search of clean water

Am on holidays at the moment for three weeks and decided with the dirty water around that i'd go down and see the old man who lives in Hobart and pack the fishing rod to and see if there's any cleaner water down here. The weathers been good and so's the fishing, i like to target the big Black Bream down here but haven't had alot of luck the last few times but have started to figure them out with a good little session the other morning landing three Bream all around 40cm which is average for down here. Also the Derwent River has been covered in birds activley feeding on fish. So i headed down to my selected spot and had an epic session on big Australian Salmon all going about 50cm and very fat, all around 2-3KG in size and for anyone who has caught these fish they go HARD for their size. Wouldve landed about 15 and lost as many as they throw the hooks when they jump. Not much else yet except for a few Couta and some big trout following the lure. Last day tomorrow so i reakon i can get one more session in tomorrow and then its back to hard fishing at home.

Cheers

Mark

nice one Mark. Did you crack out a knife and get into the oysters on those rocks there?? I was down there for work and the one part of the water that I got to get close to, the oysters were market size and EVERYWHERE. I'd be doing one cast, one oyester, one cast, one oyster... you get the point :)
