Well woke up and decided to go for a fish down the goldy on sunday with dad and drove down and was there by like 6 30. We set up and wasnt to long after a bit of berlying dad was on the board with a breambo and then it wasnt to long before i had bagged another 2 and we saw another long tom jumping around but didnt take a liking to my herring then all of a sudden my line takes off and dad calls it for a long tom but i was fighting for a while and it was down deep so immediately thought it wasnt a long tom and after a while brought up a pike eel but i am not sure if it might hav been a hairtail as they look fairly similiar as i hav not caught a hairtail and hav only seen pics.

unfortunately i didnt get any pics but am making a video and will post up soon so if u could confirm what it was it would be great

Ways to tell for me are hairtail are usually much more shiney or I need a good look at the tail or head. Just not enough to say one way or the other but probability suggests it is most likely a pike eel. Still bit of fun with the bream and pike eel? would have had you wondering a bit.
