Talle Tips Please

Went yakking Tallebudgera creek last weekend and managed a few small flatties and a heap of bream, got a yabbie pump and castnet etc. Don't know the waterways well and would appreciate any tips or local knowledge on the area. Was beautiful there last time, could see 10ft down easy and great place to have a quick dip to cool off. Would be even better to get on to a few decent fish!

Tried up against the rainforest area near that small island for some jacks but wasn't much happening, tried sp's, prawns, yabbies and hardbodies with no luck.

Cheers

keep going up river and you come into some good country, rock bars and steep mangrove drop offs.

It would be a long paddle from the area you fished so you could put your yak in under the M1 bridge, there is a gravel boat ramp in the Expressive Grounds at the end of Tallebudgera Drive.

Personally I wouldn't swim in this area though, stick to the mouth and clean water areas

Mate we have been hving a bit of fun in the canal off the back of Tahiti Ave. Getting a few trevally as well as the odd bust off as well.. Like Leighton said up stream has some amazing jack country.. Also try around the swimming nets at the caravan park. Always holds bait...

A few of us a going for paddle on Sunday arvo, you see 3 or 4 guys in yaks come and say hi..

Good Luck

Andy
