hello all, i have been informed by several other anglers that jacks can be picked up around colleges crossing at certain times of the year. i was wondering if any one here had done so themselves and if so could you please post any tips or good times of the year to target jacks in this region. this would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Happy first post.

I to have heard the same from local anglers.

One guy who seemed to know what he was on about told me he picks up one a session at least in the mouth of Kholo Creek (about 800m downstream from the Kookburra Park boat ramp).

He told me the good thing about fishing for Jacks there is that by-catch of Salmon and good cod is not uncommon.

I plan on trying this spot out next summer.
