Tasty prawnography

Recommended Posts

Did something a little different and chased some of the tasty buggers. Quite a few boats out and worked hard for them, trawlers working overtime doing u-turn after u-turn. Had about 5-6L by lunch and the rain came. Called it quits and still managed to get to work without the boss noticing.

Let me see... garlic prawn rolls, prawn cocktails, tempura prawns, salt and pepper prawns should cover it for the rest of the week ;)

Cheers

Reports of plenty around southern bay islands

cheers

Ray

Word along the prawn-vine was that they were thick over the weekend and began tapering off yesterday. Like Ray said they'll move around somewhere in the southern bay islands. We had to search for them on the sounder today, mainly along the Powerlines and just west of Mark's Rocks today.

nice one... anyone care for pointers on what to look for on the sounder?? Is it just a random cloud of stuff near the bottom?

depending on your sounder it should look like a patchy cloud of debris. we'll give em a chase one day if you want...
