Lake Kurwongbah

The project to turn Lake Kurwongbah into Brisbane and Queenslands newest recreational fishery is finally well and truly underway. Initial stakeholder acceptances are all in place and we are now starting the fundraising process to allow this project to quickly take shape.

Members from Pine Rivers Fish Management Association have been working hard to get the project to this point. Fortunately we have been quietly supported in the background by a number of organisations and individuals. I'd like to take the chance to publicly thank Angus Gorrie and the team at Brisbane Fishing On line for their support to date, it is efforts such as these which will cause this project to become a reality.

Again thankyou for the help and we look foward to working with you in the future.

Certainly will I hope to get to the next meeting, I'll need directions again though! All I can remember is it is at the dam somewhere.

Mate take the road to Bullockies Rest just before it turns hard left at the rangers workshop there is a small road on your right. Take this one and I think it is the first left (heading towards gates on the dam wall) which will take you to hut A. 7.00 pm meet for 7.30 pm start the first half hour involves rabbiting on about fishing with each other. If we could just add in some beers and a bbq it would be almost perfect.
