had to work hard for these bass but had great time hunting them down the spangles kept me on my toes changing techniques even purposley fowling rear hooks and popping lures around on surface got things moving if spangles went quiet

Looks like a great place for a days fishing!

when fishing in the rapids, do you fish with the current or against?

got 3 bass and 2 spangels casting down stream and retrieving through the rapids

the first cast there i saw two fish under the lure when it came back to my feet

next two casts i caught two bass went below the rapids and casted up to them and got one where the rapids met the deep water a group of people turned up to swim right where i was casting was getting late so that was my cue to go home decided to have one more cast form above the rapids only about 10m from the swimmers and caught another bass witch struck at my feet of course this led to another few minutes spent casting at the rapids before i decided to go home

Nice work mate, can you explain the bit about 'purposely fouling the trebles' as I am very intrigued. Always like hearing about outside the box techniques.

i tie these small lures on using a loop rather than a snap as the extra weight can afect their action to foul the rear hooks i just get one side of the loop and wrap it around one bend of the trbble a few times witch means the lure is dragged backwards in the water keep the rod tip high and flick it about quickly so the lure dances on top of the water some times the hook untangels itself and the lure can be retrieved normally dont know how the line would handle a big fish being wraped around hook if you look at this picture you can see the way the lure is sitting connected at both ends to line a small popper would have been fun didnt have one so this will do
