We tied up at the Ivory Hotel for dinner Sat night which was good Whiting,Flathead and Barra all on the one plate for $15.00 with chips and salad.

There is plenty more stories to tell but I'm done so any Q's just ask.

The tweed always looks so clean. Gee that is a nice old traditional hull do you have and info on its history?

Cheers

t's name is Clyde. 33' long 14'beam,18 Tonne,Mountain Ash and Perkins Diesal.

Built in Nowra NSW 1946 as a Tuna boat for 20 years.

Then a Crayfish Boat in Tassie.

Then bought by my mate and his Dad who had it at Manly for a couple of years and is now on the Tweed.

I don't reckon you could look any happier even if you'd caught it yourself :)

Thanks for the report. How good does the water look in that last pic?

Brings back memories of the old traditional boat builders that used to be on the Bulimba reach. Norman Wright ,Milcraft,Tripconies all come to mind plus Roy Bliss and his little self draining 13ft oceaneers that you could take anywhere.Roy was also an accomplished poet with a boating theme.

There must be quite a few more as there used to be a lot of yards along the river.

Cheers
