Matching Rod for my Baitrunner 6000D

Hi guys,

Who can advise on a rod that will suit this Shimano reel? preferably around the 7 foot mark

I guess being a bait runner

you will use it mainly for bait, so that being the case all you need is a trusty old fibreglass rod.

I suggest 7-10kgs but the weight of the rod can vary personally up to what line you wish to use etc.

I have a baitrunner on a clear tip glass rod 6-8ish kg rod with 30lb braid. the rod gets no tlc and probably extra abuse than it deserves, but it has accounted for some mighty Threadfin and bronzies!

keep the advanced composite rods for your casting/jigging etc outfits.

and as for length then that all depends on where and how, I use 7ft as a general purpose rod;)
