Logan river.. What to expect

Hey guys! I'm knew to this site, And I was wondering if you guys could let me know whats to catch in the logan river and i really want to catch a shark if this is possible is there a special rig? bait? lets us know cheer guys.

And also ill be fishing off the boat ramp closest to daisy hill. I have no Boat.

you could use a whole mullet and take it out, and i have heard fresh water eel works really good to, so its probs best to try both with 2 rod

May be getting a bit late for a shark... They r still around jut a bit harder to pick one up now.

For a little bullie i started with a real simple set up

20lbs main line, 60-80lbs wire trace. Circle hook. And just put the hook in any live bait...mullet, herring, winter whiting, bigger size prawns.

Since it's gettin a bit cold for em' pick a hot afternoorn and suspend your bait under a balloon as they are most likely goin to be hanging around the top where it's a bit warmer.........

post a report on how you go, will be keen to see the results!

went out this arvo was hot as but come home on the running tide because we had to go and it was hot so it was badly timesd but caught like 5 cattys lol had no bait for the shark but yeah ill have another go tommorrow or monday to see but yeah ill let use all know, and if i get one can i eat it or what?

I'm pretty sure as long as it is under 1.2m you can eat it.

1.5m for sharks

Keep your baits of the bottom if possible to avoid the catties and sting rays, Logan is FULL of them but if you do get a catty around 8 inchs use it for a live bait.

use a pair of sidecutters to get rid of the spines on the catfish before using it for livebait
