Borumba Dam

Hi everyone,

Just after a few answers about land based fishing at the borumba dam, is the area around the dam accessible by foot to get into some good spots or am i just waisting my time by going up that way?

you can fish along the edge at the carpark and if energetic walk over the top of the rock face next to the ramp and fish the first bay along.

I would recommend hiring a yak from anaconda and using it on the dam, and remember you need a SIP as well

Was gonna suggest this too but the closed season on bass may impact on your choices of places to fish?

I thought Yabba Creek was an 'arm' of the dam propper? The other being Kings Creek? You will need a SIP but man, the Yabba Creek arm is one sweet area to flick lures. Took my first Toga there.

the creek flowing out of the dam is Yabba and is off limits to bass fishing until September. It would be a hard slog to walk all the way up the dam shore even to Borumba Creek let alone Kingham.
