Thoguht i'd throw some info up! My names Ben, I'm a mechanic and keen fisho...

I've lived in Karana Downs for the last 24 years, and for the last 23 of them have fished, walked and swam every little bit of water around here... Even when i had other things on, i always found me down by the river... Early days catching Mullet on bread, to going onto Bass/Tarpon on Fly and Lure, and then every other speicies i could hook up on!

The house me and the missus are currently renting is right on the river here, and if i'm not fishing out the back here with a few XXXX, i'm out launching my Tinny up at Kooky. If ya's ever up there and see a dodgy old mazda ute with GT stripes, look for the 10ft \"Tin Lizzy\" and some long haired bogan on board and come have a chat!!

ANyways, look forward to sharing and learning some good info off the board

Hey Ben! I've done a bit of fishing for bullies up your way over the last two seasons and we have caught quite a few. I would'nt be brave enough to swim in it lol!

hey ben was that you i saw catch the huge threadfin on a live prawn down on the inside bend about 5 or6 weeks ago

Werewolf - yeah, as kids we thought we were invincible and swam everyhere (including once from the old weir to colleges (wading/swimming) we were brave and dumb! Summer 98 i got a 2.3m Monster... Seeing as i was in my 15ft canoe with a 9.9 on the back, it was a hassle! Never swam in the river since!

Yeah thats a great shark for up that far mate.

Any chance you got a picture of it?

I would love to have pulled it out of the water while all the ski boats were coming in

yeah i do have several picks of it somewhere, it was 9 years ago! My parents are in the process of moving , all the stuff is at sumner pk storage centre but i'll see if i can dig it out
