Down size for fish

Hi guys, well one last trip before having to work for the next couple of days, this time chasing Trevs.

Plenty around judging by all the people coming in the shop telling me how many they have been catching, most of them released which is good but does tend to make them a bit wary after a while.

A month ago we were running 10 and 12 cm hard bodied lures though them and getting belted on a regular basis.

Now they are still there down deep, the sounder had big patches of them on the screen at times but they weren't in the mood.

This is when it can get frustrating but a quick change of lures to small blades and we had them wacking them hard.

Some reasonable fish between 50 and 60 cm, Coen even got a small Snapper.

An 8gram blade was our best lure, the one in the photo, good to see a couple of the other guys there to, always fun meeting fellow likeminded fishermen on the water, cheers wayne

Love the pics Youngy, well done buddy.

What type of sounder do you have?

I have the Humminbird 788cxi, but you never see fish arches.

Always seems to be red blotches half way up the water column.

Would that be fish or bait schools?

Also, what size line and leader would you be using with the blades.

Love your articles.
