2011 Gold Coast Flathead Classic Results - Even Better Than We Thought !

The Top 20 2 Man team results were published last night and we were absolutely stoked to discover that we had 3 teams in the Top 20 including of course the Winning Team of Austackle Anglers Connection. Team Austackle Green finished 14th and Team Austackle Black finished 19th. An awesome overall team effort and really it highlights how good our gear is in skilled hands.

That hasnt been published yet Tugger. AS soon as it is i will let you know. There were 187 teams in total and i suspect it maybe was around half and half split between 2 and 3 man.

There were 107 x 2-man teams and 76 x 3-man teams before the 4 last minute teams joined. Not sure of the composition of those final 4 teams though.

We are all very happy about it. The guys put in the hours during the weeks before the comp trying different techniques and different lures etc and came up with a game plan and stuck to it. Its pretty easy to go out and catch a decent fish socially but under Tournament conditions and competeing against a huge field its quite another thing.

All of my guys have an input into rod design and lure designs so its also pleasing for them to see their ideas and concepts pay off. Everything we do and manufacture is a very much a Team effort.
