Land based at Lake Maroon?

I have heard that Lake Maroon is a great place to go fishing. However, downside for me is I'm land based. I was wondering if its worth a try? I usually fish the rivers and creeks nearby for bass and just want to try something different. Thanks in advance for your help.

to the left of the ramp are a few places to fish landbased, or go towards the environmental centre and fish in the park near the wall. Plenty of surface action around there at sunset.

Otherwise you can rent kayaks from Acacia canoe sales at Acacia Ridge and get amongst it

I think you can also hire canoes, kayaks and tinnies at camp lake fire, lake maroon

not too sure maroon has been fishing overly fantastic lately to be honest, not sure how fruitful a land-based session would be, worth a try though i guess, like tomca said the surface action is pretty good about sunset, during the day your best bet would probably be to just fish anywhere near the lily pads.
