queensland Bagara Action and Camera Mount

Hi guys have been able to get out recently for a quick flick morning and evening, when im out of bed in time, at a local spot ive found here in Bargara ( bundy)

The evening sessions have produced numberous good tarpon sessions with fish ranging from 30 - 45 cm on average, so far all fish bar one have been caught on a zippin ziggy walked slowly across the surface of a shallow tidal inflow area tht fills up on the high tide!

Have also been having some fun on some small Cod, moses perch and jacks smaller surface walkers atomic k9 pups and the ecogear walkers have been doing the damage.

Have been very dissapointed with the lack of whiting though still to catch one on a plastic and by the looks of the area its perfect for them, anyone able to point me int he right direction as to popular and sucessful retrieves would be much appreciated, ive tried buble2sea bubble pops 35 and 45's

px45's atomic k9's berkley 3b scum dogs, on low tide, incomming tides and high tide, huge yabby flats but no action???

As promised here is a couple of photos of the SLR mount in going to be sampling over the next few months! I dont own a boat but will be taking it everywhere i go when the big camera is out.

Look out for a report from Cairns as im planning to meet up with tiotony for a session weekend after next!! shall bring the big camera for that! We will be playing with the big boys under the wharf!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to you getting up to Cairns mate, tides and moon are perfect so should be good. Those HB's you've got are gonna be candy for tarpon and GT's under the lights :cheer:

theres some nice bream in there ive had a swim and a fish there when i was on holiday just up the road out the front on the beach just north of there is a good rocky bit for some lure fishin on the right day

Nice work Callum, Giant herring are a much rarer catch than tarpon.

Out of interest what's a good size for them how big they grow.
