snapper rocks and duranbah?

I was looking for potential places to fish from and im sure im not the only one to think of it but has anyone tried fishing from either Snapper rocks or Duranbah rock walls on the Gold coast?

unsure if these areas would be any good but i would be interested to hear if anyone has tried. I may still try the areas next week or so and ill let you guys know how i go.

have driven past snapper rocks & it does seem quite fishy to me, i recon youd need to ballon a live all the way out though..but yeah your ideas is by far a good one.

Yeah i can't help but think it could be a potential spot, just quickly you say to use a balloon ? Is this to avoid snags? And do you actually mean a ballon or would a float be sufficient?

I'm pretty keen to try this spot when I get some free time over the next few weeks.

at the right time of year i think they get bonito off snapper rocks, no doubt other fish would hang around there, definitely luderick if you are into that too.

Mate, the balloon is just a party balloon, the reason is not to avoid snag, but the wind can push the balloon and bait to offshore (if the wind direction is right), it can carry the bait to the place where u can reach by casting.

Snapper rocks is near kirra mate and spot on but the balloon goes with wateva is stronger wind or current
