Hey Guys,

Went for a fish down the goldy saturday with 2 goals in mind.

1. Try catch another jack but on a topwater lure

2. find some fish for the gamakatsu round in 2 weeks time and i'm glad to say I did both :):).

I started the morning off casting a Damiki D pop in the crystal colour. I had quite a few swirls and half hearted takes resulting in one hook up which busted me off under a pontoon. Once the sun popped it's head over the horizon the action stopped. I then started chucking a damiki tukun around for some bream with the bream swirling at it but not really committing. It would've been good to have the new P21 Loco Perrito's to chuck around for a smaller profile but in the end I resorted to a bent minnow. (Sorry Rob :pinch: :pinch:) The bream were going nuts over the smaller profile with 10 - 15 bream chasing the lure at times. Although the fish weren't huge his was one of the best topwater sessions i've had. I ended up catching easily over 25 bream on topwater with a few trevs, a jack and some other species to go with them. Didn't have my digi camera but did have a go pro so I tried to some POV shooting. If the gopro could zoom in and had a polorised lense some of this footage would be amazing.

It's not easy trying to put 2hrs of footage into a 4min video. The sun and glare got in the way of most shots but I was able to scrape together some of the easier viewed shots into a small clip. Excuse the editing!!! that's windows movie maker for you!!! Hope you enjoy it.

cheers

Love the Vid dude, Gee that rod has a lot of flex. What type of rod are you using?

Good luck with the upcoming event

It looks like one of the nordic stage areal series.

Nice vid Dell! Do you find you get a better picture quality when you upload with vimeo? I seem to lose a lot of the quality in my hd vids when I upload them to youtube.

Cheers Guys. Rod was a nordic stage sharpshooter. Did the job perfectly on the wknd. Was some give in the rod which helped the hooks stay in since I was using light wires.

@ scope. I haven't really uploaded a gopro vid to youtube but have done other HD movies and the quality did drop for me. Also with Vimeo they don't really care about the music track copyrights and unlike youtube they don't remove these tracks. (touch wood)
