PFD Recommendations

Hi everyone

Early this year I had the embarassing and potentially dangerous situation of going overboard when I was the only person in the boat (or should that be out of the boat??). I am a good swimmer, but getting back into a high sided tinnie with no rear step or ladder is not easy, especially as you get a bit more mature in years. It made me think about safety in a different way, and I intend to get one of the PFDs that are inflatable and easy to wear so that I can wear it all the time when I am out on my own. At the moment I only have the old foam block type and like most people, I have them stowed away in the front of the tinny unless I have have children on board, so not really ideal in an emergency.

So I am looing for any recommendations for brands/types that people have used and found to be comfortable and safe, and any brands to stay away from. Thanks

We use stormy seas at work get them serviced every year and find them good qaulity the ones we have are self inflating when you hit the water they have reflector tape on them and we get lights fitted as well that are water activated
