On the Crab

Headed out to the river for a quick fish Friday night in the river. Decided to drop a few pots to see what weas happening as I want some Sandies for Xmas.

The fishing was pretty slow - very slow in fact a couple of half hearted bites but that was it.

The pots were a much better story though. 10 keepers after a two hour soak with another five throw backs - looks like a good season ahead.

Hey Adam

Good old mullet did the trick this time. I reckon there must be a heap of sandies on the move at the moment and it was good to see a quite a few females amongst them too.

Yep the river is sucking for fishing at the moment. Just keep the crabs coming though..

Excellent catch from the river, mate. Do you reckon they are more active at night? That would be a pity, cos I am much less active at night.

I am not sure but past experience would say it is probable. I put the pots in an hour before the tide change so not sure if that had anything to do with it either..

Just nice to get a few
