Sea to Summit Kayak Soft Roof Racks

I used them for about 2-3 years. No problem if you don't care about your car's roof. I had a shitty Hyundai so I didn't care. Lay a towel under them if you have a better car, that's what I did with the wife's car when we went on holidays and I wanted to take the yak. Works a treat.

I have carried all kinds of yaks on them including some heavy ones. Outback, Revo, and Stealth Superlite-X. All of which are pushing 30kgs.

I've used them before. They'll get the job done but they're no long term solution.

They're quite low so theres a high chance you'll scratch your roof when your mounting/unmounting.

For starters the strap causes the waterproof seals in the car to bend which will leak water into the car, so you'll have wet seats if it rains or theres a bit of moisture.

The strap hits your head when you're driving so it's a bit annoying.

I have used them once and if you like your roof then don't bother, I found that the middle of my roof flexed, and lucky no damage or my wife would have killed me, plus i found with abit of weight on them, they moved a little, save yourself the hassle and get the hard ones, they cost more but you wont regret it.
