Went out with a mate fishing a mix of plastics and bait today.

Start around 9 from the marina and heading out into the bay a little bit to see if the winter whiting were around.

ended up with 6 or so but decided to throw them back. that was at 11 or so, so we headed back in to find GT's chasing a manner of fish.

Threw a Reaction Strike split tail in 4 inch out straight after a bust up near the bridge and got a solid hit, ran towards me and then decided it didnt like the boat and used the current to its advantage with a screaming run on 10lb and a t curve 2-5kg, then bricked me on the pylon.

Bit dissapointed but kept on, the bustups kept going for a half hour but they weren't interested any more.

Pretty slow after that and gave up after two spotty stingrays and a shovelnose.

Pleasant day but rather hot.

Whilst drifting we spotted a sharks that was yellow with black spots similar shape to a catshark. Thought it was a weird ray at first. it cruised up kinda close to the boat and then slowly changed course. any ideas?

Shark would have been a zebra shark. Beautiful animals.
