reel schemectics

just purchased my abu garcia polaris baitcast combo from cam a couple of weeks ago and went for a swim the other night :whistle: trying to service it and the side piece is held on internally by something i cant seem to find what it is and dont want to break it in the process and cant find the reel schemetics anywhere on the net or a model number can anyone give us a hand with it

Did the reel come in a box ? Usually they come with the schematic but obviously yours didn't. So I suggest finding a stockist of the reel and asking if you could get a copy or have a look at the schematic there.

yer still cant find it on the net not even on abu's website :S my local bcf didnt have any and usually sold in a combo so no box and figure it will eventually brian haha

does the reel have an ID number on the underside of the foot?

there's some real dismal products coming from abu now. it tears me up inside

There was a reel around years ago where the side plate had to have the screws and fittings removed and then you twisted the side plate around 90 or 180 degress and it released off a locking pin.

Maybe this one has a similar setup.
