Well i finally got around to catching a Bull Shark in the Logan River

Pretty much Did what Mad Mullet said to do , 4 lb Braid , 60 Lb coated trace 6/0 hook and slab of Mullet,,,,,what happened was i somehow tail hooked a little catty , bout 20cm long ,,, i thought well may aswell leave it on and just recast ,,,, couple of minutes pass,,, then sploooosh iam on ... pretty good fight and in comes a 80 cm Bully .

it was the only one i caught but did manage 3 Catties over 50 cm and probably 4 more around 30 cm ..

The fight on 4 lb was actually of no concern , i have caught big Barra at the Bli Bli barra park on 4 lb braid so i knew if i just relaxed and took my time all would be good ,i was using a Symetre 1000 that i had bought 6 or 8 months ago but had never used , loaded it up with 4 lb fireline , the Bully turned it on for a bit ,, jumping and thrashing around ,, it was a lot of fun . Even the Big Catties ripped some line at the start .. i am kind of leaning towards the small catty being the bait that actually enticed the Bully ??
