Hi all,

Viper and myself hit Clear island waters on Sunday.

We launched near the dog park and were on the water by 5am, looking for some surface activity.

After countless casts at the reed lined banks for nothing more than a few snags and a half hearted hit or 2 we decided to swap over to some divers.

Viper was off to a good start getting 4 or 5 in before me. Casting Jackalls and Atomics around the pontoons and lily's seemed to be the go for the day.

Once again Viper added the comic relief for the day, (last time we went bassing the 5' bank he was standing on gave out from under him thus sending him into the drink,) this time while trying tame a good fish around the 39cm mark he was trying to put his paddle in it's clip holder and some how over balanced and rolled off his yak   :lol::lol::lol: . He did it with style though, after falling off he tapped it with his hand and kept the yak up-right so none of his gear was lost or even wet.

He swam the yak back over to a pontoon and we got a pic of his fish (yeah he managed to keep hold of that too  ) then he re boarded so to speak, and we were off again.

After the sun go up to high we headed into the creek and absolutely cleaned up.

We were on the water from 5am till 6 pm and managed around 70 bass between us (50/20 Vipers way,) and I picked up a nice looking spangled (only a little fella but a first for me, and a first from this spot.)

Here's a few pics from the day.

Cheers.
