It looks like the LNP are about to shaft all boaties in Victoria.

For a party that promised to look after the baoties and fishermen they sure have turned their backs on them now.

Excellent work. Now those fines will be a real disincentive to do the wrong thing. Enough of the pussy-footing low value/low hurt fines that do not change behaviour. It will never be known how many lives will be saved or injuries avoided.

$611 wow and the odd figures would indicate to me that they will be CPI indexed.

Reckon that you would have to paint them on because stickers have a habit of peeling off.

Looks like the Vics have a penalty unit of $61.10 and the fines are multiples of this. So whenever and however that figure gets changed will determine the annual, or otherwise, increases.

There's a certain member on here that I know regularly loses his "Q" from the rego numbers on the side of his (soon to be) old tub. He would be crazy mad if he copped a fine for that I reckon. I wonder if they apportion the fine depending on how many letter/numbers are missing :dry:
