$80 for the rod is good and even better if its for the reel. I love Pflueger gear, I think to many people get hung up on Shimano and Daiwa and forget that Pflueger have been around for a lot longer. I'm not saying Shimano and Diawa are no good or Pflueger is better, I'm just saying they are up there with them but usually more affordable. Just my opinion

Mate, best 80 bucks you'll ever spend. Got a 2-4kg one about a month ago (paid $99 from BCF on special down from $129) and teamed it up with a Stradic Ci4 2500 reel. Whole rig weighs 308gms with the rod just over 100 gms. Can flick this all day. First Bass I caught on it was a PB 48cm. Thats the rig and the fish in my avatar. I also have a Pflugie 4-8kg which I use as a Barra rod and it is a beauty also.

Buy 2 at that price! My mate paid over $200 for his (Bass rod) just over 12 months ago.

Just got home with my new Supreme and while I was there I also picked up the new Shakespeare Sling-shot 2-4kg rod on sale for $43. Nice little combo for a little over $120

Thanks very much for letting us know Jords. I went in today and got one to use as my first SP reel on the reef. They teamed it up with a glass Ugly Stik SP702GP so will be very keen to give it a crack.

I was suprised how knowledgable the staff were actually. The staff sounded like they were massive fisho's unlike people at competitor stores. Even though the range is a bit limited I think I will be going back there again.

Oh and thank you very very much for saving me around $220 just on the reel. Awesome. 10 ball bearing and they feel very smooth. I'm only just getting back into egg beaters but it looks great.

there not bad , I have one, I got from A mart on clearance with only one spool and no box. Think I payed $90 for it not bad for a 10 ball bearing reel ,

Yeah went to the Everton Park store around 5. Even though they were busy everyone was happy to help. I don't know anything about plastics so appreciated the advice. Even the bloke at the register was keen as. Great to see.

Nothing wrong with being on ther register. From what I saw he was not a checkout chick, the chicks were cheking him out lol. Quite a few hanging around him. We may have a AFO playboy on our hands
