Brisbane is swapping silly season for a soggy one, with rain forecast to fall on the city almost every day in the next 28 days.

Weatherzone meteorologist Robert Wood said Brisbane was in for a soaking, with between 150mm and 200mm expected to fall between now and New Year's Eve.

The wet weather would remain until at least January 3, according to its 28-day forecast.

I did see the water temp had dropped two degrees compared to last week. Still 6 inchs is not very much rain. We used to get that a lot on tinaroo dam, dumping an inch in an hour and as soon as it would stop you had to scoot straight out as the barra would start feeding straight away. Out of the creeks/river it will be different.

this is assuming the weather forcaster has actually got it right , if the weather prediction history is anything to go by , it will probably clear up on sunday and be fine again

the little local creeks need a good flush out anyway. we havent had a good rain in a while and i agree i rather have like 30digree rain then +40 in the summer. time to make good friends with your raincoat boys, i aint staying indoors in this rain.
