Yaking in Pine River

I took my new Revo 11 last Saturday on Pine Rivet and managed to land myself a 55 cm flattie. I was wondering whet againher anyone has had success at Deep Water Bend?

I was looking at hitting there again on Saturday.

worth hiting again mate there has been heaps of flatie around there in the last month or so, lets just hope the rain don't chase them out. :S

Haven't used blades. I have just got in to soft plastics. I cannot complain about their success rate. I will give the blades a try though. Thanks.

Try the flats on the left (heading downstream)between Deepwater Bend and Dohles Rocks. I like to fish the edges as the flats just start to get exposed by the dropping tide.

Thanks for the info. The flats looked inviting but was running out of water. I will try on a peak as I think that is the advantage of the yak .

Fished just up from Dohles and picked up a 60cm flathead so was happy with my effort. Also got a tailor on a surface popper while tolling but was underside so it went back for another day.

What I liked about the area was there are so many variances. There are deep holes, flats, mangroves and rocks. The ramp makes for easy in and out as well. I guess you just have to pick your time as it looks as though it would get busy.
