is there redclaw in kurwongbah or just NPD?

i am pre sure they are i both but remeber once you use the pots in kurowongabah do not use them in NPD as it can spread aqautic weed etc

Interestingly in all the surveys done in Kurwongbah no Redclaw have been caught.

Have heard of people catching them though.

Anyone caught any ?

i went to wivenhoe the other day and saw blue claw,was pretty cool,didnt think they were in there

Plenty of claw in Kurwongbah. Try along the wall a bit past where the lillies end.

That was one of trap survey locations not a single one over the whole period :blush:

Was before the floods I caught them there. In my shrimp traps. Got some biguns to.

8 pots in NPD for 2 nights, 12 redclaw when I went to check them this morning. Really have not recovered since they turned off in winter.

Not too many per legal number of pots at the moment at NPD. Tight lines. :cheer:

Been that way for years Ian , there a terrible pest so the more removed the better.

Probably never get rid of them from NPD. They will re-establish and will be like the lungfish, there forever.. Not so for the cod in NPD. Incompatable to the Bass and Golden perch in our waters. Tight lines and hook;em. :cheer:

Nope no Cod in NPD :whistle: thank you for your expert(sic) opinion Ian.

The current habitat improvement project is just some we are doing to waste our time

I seen a bloke pull 4 pots at Kurwongbah for 4 redclaw and on another occasion I had one ready to nibble my toes in shallow water. So I would say they are there but not in the numbers like NPD.
