Hey all,

Mate and I hit the goldy this morning for a few hours fishing the soverign Island flat's and nearby canals. We started fishin the flats, and managed a few bream, and Aidan managing a solid tailor which escaped after spitting the hooks in the yak. :dry:

Once the wind picked up, we headed into the canals and continued to flick a mix of shallow diving hardbodies, light-weighted plastics and surface. We managed a few fish in the canal both on divers and surface. Soon after, we were forced to leave with a serious thunder/electrical storm that came out of nowhere. B) The long peddle and paddle back to the ramp was then made against some serious currents... B)

On the way home, we got a feed and had a bit of a play in the mud. :)

After dropping my mate off, I headed home, tired as. The fishin wasn't done yet though after spotting my mate fishin a local creek whilst crossing a bridge, the decision was made to join him B) . We fished for about 3 hours with heaps of good hits. I managed to land two awesome size tarpon (50ish) which went bloody hard on the 3lb. PB by far too. B) To finish the night off, i managed a small bass around 30ish.

Nice little sesh. Did you chuck topwaters in those canals we saw you in? The fish were climbing all over them when Rob and I were in there.

Nah Dell I didn't start throwing topwater until the storm was just about too hit. Pity I didn't earlier, because as soon as I put one on, i lost a good bream and was having heaps of good hits. Managed one of surface then had to head get out of there quick. Howd did you guys end up? Love the boat btw... B)

Nah Dell I didn't start throwing topwater until the storm was just about too hit. Pity I didn't earlier, because as soon as I put one on, i lost a good bream and was having heaps of good hits. We had an alright day and ended up 21st out of 50 or so boats. I reckon the scales were weighing light for the first couple of bags also so that didn't help us out at all.
