Hey all,

Just received my reel back after sending it to get a new face lift. I sent the reel off to Ben at Custom Tackle Graphics and got it back within a week. Looking like a brand new reel :cheer:

The reel had been starting to show its age so a make over was due. Went with a metallic blue paint job, similar to my certates.

Came out sweet so I think I will be giving a few more reels the custom treatment ;)

+1 to what Ant said, could open up a lot of opportunities on good 2nd hand reels that just lack aesthetics.

also - can he paint over the accents? or only the reel body? ie the baseplate, sides of the spool under bail arm etc?

becuase im pretty keen to get them all painted gold on my exist

Nice job. If i can be bothered pulling my reel apart i would do the same. but i would use 2 pak car paint. I painted a laptop before with car paint. was pretty cool. great thing is you use very expensive clear coat and polish it up good and it be shiny as a babies bottom:P I tend to like to keep my reels to its original state. i mean it's like buying a $500,000 Lamborghini and then slapping chrome mags on it with a custom bodykit. But i mean if it's scratched then fair enough. still cool! :woohoo:

What's wrong with chrome mags and a bodykit? Once did that to a mates Camira ;) except the chrome mags were hubcaps and the bodykit was cardboard and gaffa taped on, ah good times. Back to the reels, I wouldn't mind painting my Stradic FI's white like the FJ'S or paint them all bright orange! Haha

The old Stradics would be ideal to paint. They look like they undercoated them all and forgot to actually paint them. One of the ugliest reels I've ever seen imo lol
