Gold Coast land based?

Try the spit area, there are many options from sandflats, beaches, rock walls and the like. If you have a street directory just look at any of the canals, there are many of them. Some have parks and vacant land with some good structure around them like pontoons, bridges etc It is worth a flick!

Last week I hooked on what I thought was a GT, peeled line then dropped the plastic. Also had a 40+cm bream take a swipe at my plastic at my feet on a rockwall so there are fish to be had. Just need to work for it more!

hey mate look up coombabah boat ramp. Heapz of landbased spots around there... use google earth and scroll north about 2ks and see where it leads you to. There is a particular spot that it leads you to (a catchment), that is really interesting during high tide. The amount of baitfish is crazy there. Where there is baitfish, there are also big fish.

Good luck.

Thanks guys, both spots look and sound good. Making it difficult to choose.

Coombabah has a high tide tomorrow at 2:48 and I will definitely be down there then.

I'll see what my mate reckons about tomorrow, but I'll be checking them both out soon for sure.

Thanks again :)
