HEY ALL!

Still pumped about last weeks effort in my first thready! A few mates and i headed out early this morning in the hope of another thready, and to also pick up some bream.

Plans were to head to mud early then the river later, but it was a little to blowy so we went back to the poo shout to have a flick and to grab some livies.. Stayed for about an hour in that we manged lots of Bream ranging between high 20's to low 30's.

The bream went off the bite so we decinded to head to the secret thready spot :P

As soon as we got there I sent out my two rods, my 6-8 with a 4000 and my 2-4 with a 2500 sized reel, got a few runs and a few by catches ( eels :dry: ). I was just sitting down having my lunch intill i hear my 2500 reel screaming in the rod holder, i pick it up and STRIKE!! i was on to a much larger fish! After a couple of seconds of just a large weight, this thing decide to go, ohh boi did he go!, my mate quicky jump in my tinny (as i was solo ) and pulled up the anchor, i quickly throw the electric in the way, Then the chase was one! he was pulling us everyone!

After about 10 -15 minutes up pops my 2nd Thready going 80cm, a new PB!!! :woohoo: lucky she was pretty much dead, cause there was no way we could get it in the net.

That was my 2nd Thready ever! also my 2nd thready in the last 2 sessions! it was on a 2-4kg rod and a 2500 sized reel on 6lb

After about 10 maybe 15 mins of swimming her off she wouldnt kick, so chuck her in the easky for a feed for the next few nights :evil:

Great Thready Runty - well done. I didn't see your post about the first one but two in two sessions is awesome. I'm yet to get one so will be after them next year.

I'm also looking at putting LED lights in my tinny so if you wouldn't mind adding a picture and who makes them it would be much appreciated - such a giveaway price!! I also noticed you have the same switchboard panel as me. Had a bit of trouble fitting it onto a wooden box I had - still can't believe they don't just sell them as a complete box with a hinged door/lid.

Time for you to go get another PB!!!!

DPI? i count them from the start of the head, to the tip of the tail, not fork if thats what you mean? or not whiskers

i measure my PB's the same way a fisheries guy would measure fish, with a threadie that would be tail spread wide open.

Once you find the right spot for threadies you can get them pretty consistently, remember the tides you were fishing for them:)
