Go-Pro or Downrigger for christmas

Tossing up weather to buy a downrigger from the downrigger shop or a go-pro for christmas. I think Id rather buy a used Go-pro if I can find one because Id want to get used to it and buy off someone who is upgrading and is selling with accessories. The downrigger I know I'd use and these guys make GOOD ones, I know a few members on this site know Andrew and the quality gear he puts out.. http://www.downriggershop.com.au/Welcome.html

Downrigger for sure.

Who cares about showing vids of some fish to others when you can increase your odds of nailing more big fish with a downrigger and wear a big smile yourself.

Always been interested in getting one as I have read and heard they can be the bomb.

Go the downrigger! I want to see it nail something around here, i imagine putting a livie down with it at the four beacons or curtin would have some interest if you can hold on....

Yeah I think Im going to put the order in for the downrigger unless someone comes up with a silly price on a gopro and I can get both. I have a homemade one but its really awkward and andrews are amazing, Im yet to see a better one, and they will work really well in the currents in the bay, being able to takle fish minus the wieght needed for thos currents is a huge advantage and with the line counter you can see where the fish are sitting in the water colum on your sounder and despite the current put a livie right in front of them at 5 meters or 200..

Go Pro's price will decline and to be honest as much I have used mine, especially underwater I'm already looking for

an alternative camera for better performance - the novelty has worn off

I figure the same thing carter, and havnt seen anyone else doing it, these are pretty much the best quality Ive seen and come with absolutly everything, you dont need to buy another thing to use them, they are $425 delivered to your door.

Just bought a downrigger last week. Wasn't able to get it out on the weekend. Ended up chasing whiting on Saturday with 15-20knot winds

Letting Dave and Bri the Pom have a go at it over January as I'm away. Hopfully Bri will get some good reports on the spanish!

The rig its self is sold as hell and ready to go when you get it.

Downrigger for sure :cheer: what a cool gadget! I just read their website and now I want one......well I would if I fished in more than ten feet of water :whistle: get a go pro as well though so we can see it in action!
