queensland congrats ( greenmachine ) rob on a p.b

headed out with a mate sunday morning, early rise, met at ramp at sunrise. plan was to check some pots and do a very quick sesh fishing.

the sharks were very slow today due to the temp drop in the water i would say but we didnt have to work to hard to get a hook up.

i was using a austackle 24kg rod and a austackle 50w reel spooled with 50lb line with a 4m 400lb wire track and a size 18/0 circle hook and rod was using my tld50lrsa reel and a fully rollered game rod spooled with 80lb with the same trace. the bait we were using was whole mullet suspended by a balloon.

i wasnt expecting sush a slow start. about 1hr later zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, threw the liver and set the hook,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, of peels the 50lb. a enjoyable 25-30 min feight and colour show in the depth below the boat. another 5 mins pass and i get the trace cliped up by the rope rine and the main line is cut. we pull the bullie boatside and take afew pics and release it to terrarise another day.

we continued checking pots, and deployed the next bait at aound 9.30. we were drifting for all of 5 mine when the tld start screaming, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, i told rob to throw the liver and set the hook, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and 80lb was zinging of the reel. a short 15 min fight and rob had the bullie boatside. we took pick and once again released it.

after we got 1 each we called it quits and returned to work.
