queensland Cold water Bass

Put the yak in this morning at the local creek and right away knew it was going to be a slow morning. Water that was quite warm before the rain was now feeling very cold on the bare legs. Anyway I decided to soldier on and after a thousand casts I was onto my first bass, which was one of only a few and strangely they all come from one small area, the area having the warmest water. I saw 3 dead bass and one nearly dead on my travels and I reakon its from the sudden change in water temp since the rain the other day. There was no shortage of food in the area as small mullet schools were everywhere. I had one realy good surface hit when the sun came up but lost it half way back to the yak .

Glad I'm not the only one to have a slow day mate, only managed 7 on surface from 4.30-7.30, they seemed very sparse today
