last day of holidays and the boys wanted to go for a fish this afternoon. We decided to go to a spot where they can easily catch some fish.The fishing was a bit slow to start with but as the sun started to go down behind the hill the tilapia started to bite and they had an hour of fun before we headed up to the swings so the little bloke could burn up some more energy.The little bloke also caught a couple of small eel tailed catfish this time. I haven"t seen these caught here before but it looks like a likely spot for them.

We had a fun aftoernoon and it was a great way to spend the end of my holiday.

Fishing with the kids is always great.

Tilapia may be a pest, but they're an easy target species.

Unfortunately, after the recent floods, they've well and truly spread out!!

I was amazed when I saw some reports catching them at the mouth of the Brisbane river.
