So finally took the boat out today to try and devirginise it. Well turned up about 11.30am till 4.30pm. And nothing! Cruised up the creek between all the moored boat past the smelly farm. Trolled my pontoon greedy guts and a few others. Tried sp tried fresh prawns nothing. So went out towards the mouth but bit to rough for my liking. Anyway was happy to get out in the boat. Dissapointed boat is still a fish virgin lol

next time up that way try a few of the sandy banks, casting is better than trolling up there,tide best to be moving in or out. If that fails try drifting with pillies you cover a lot of ground. I used to drift up and then drift back with the tide for some good flatties.

Tried a bit of drifting from the mouth back towards the ramps. But with the tide and the wind was moving way fast. But will give it another crack on a better day. Thanks Dino will try phillies next time for sure.
